Liminal space
The time we spend in transit is a big part of living in contemporary society - based in its urban and suburban centres and commuting through the spaces in between. This shot is literally a documentation of a less extensive journey (walking in between building levels), but metaphorically it stands for all our passages/journeys and the reflections that come with them.

Exhibiting my photographs from New York City on sheets of plexi and accompanied by witty text in vinyl print was an allusion to advertising and all the catch phrases or stereotypes connected with New York City. The resulting 'alley of photographs' was represented my perspective on visiting and working in NYC as an immigrant from Poland living in the UK and then travelling to yet another country.
